About this service

What dry lining involves

Dry lining is the modern way to finish internal walls without waiting weeks for wet plaster to dry. We board straight to brick using dot-and-dab adhesive, or build new partitions in metal or timber stud.

We can spec the right board for the job — moisture-resistant in bathrooms and kitchens, sound-insulated between rooms, fire-rated where regulations require it.

Boards are scribed, jointed and either skim-coated or taped and jointed depending on what finish you're after.

How it works

A clean, honest process from quote to finish

Step 1

Site visit & quote

Free, no-obligation visit. We measure up, talk through what you want and send a clear written quote — usually within 48 hours.

Step 2

Prep & protection

Floors, skirtings and furniture covered. Beads, scrim and any boarding sorted before a single trowel of plaster goes on the wall.

Step 3

Finish & sign-off

Two-coat finish, polished flat. We tidy up, walk the job with you and don't leave until you're happy with every wall.

FAQs

Common questions

How long will it take to dry?
Fresh plaster is touch-dry in 24–48 hours but should be left 5–7 days before mist-coating. Bigger rooms or cold weather can add a few days.
Do I need to move out?
No. We work room by room, dust-sheet everything and clean up at the end of each day. Most jobs you can stay in the property throughout.
Can you paint afterwards?
We don't decorate ourselves but we'll leave walls perfectly ready for paint and can recommend trusted local decorators we work with regularly.
Do you give written quotes?
Always. Every job comes with a clear written quote — no verbal numbers, no surprises at the end.
